Made with our own cider vinegar from Bratton Seymour, fabulously rich borage honey from The London Honey Company and a mixture of freshly cut and dried herbs. The recipe for this drink is based upon the centuries-old concoction ‘oxymel’, meaning ‘acid and honey’; a drink often taken as a tonic against ailments and digestive afflictions. No.1 features our own blend of secret roots and aromatic herb, which are infused to complement the flavour of the borage honey and give greater depth and complexity to the flavour. The whole process takes around 1 year to complete.
Imagine a sort of bitter, aromatic non-alcoholic vermouth and you’re on the right track. We like to serve this with ice, sparkling water or tonic and a slice of orange.
