Yarlington Mill, Dabinett, Somerset Redstreak, Dove, Brown Snout & Cadbury Redwing.

Bottle conditioned, naturally sweet cider [we never sweeten with brewing sugars, or pasteurise], sparkling.

Light, fruity, caramel notes, yet refreshing and quaffable.

The Story

The theme of Farmhouse Blend continues on from 2019 – a blend of lots of varieties, all to be found in the orchard, but always 50% Yarlington Mill; arguably the dame of all Somerset cider apples, with its pink skin, red flushing and distinctive conical heart shape. Yarlington provides a balanced, rounded structure to the blend, allowing ample space for other more challenging varieties to make up the structure of the cider. We would hazard that Yarlington Mill can sometimes make cider that is less interesting, but not this one! It is a native apple to areas and does particularly well in the soils here, which are clay loam and sand over jurassic limestone, so plenty going on in the palate.

2023 has notes of honey or apricot jam and gentle medicinal notes. Beautiful!
